General VoiceTone Questions Can I use my condenser microphone? Yes, all VoiceTone pedals can add +48V phantom power to your microphone input to power your condenser microphone. What audio quality can I expect from VoiceTone? You can expect the best audio quality of any floor effects device for any instrument you’ve ever used. In fact, you can expect the same or better audio quality from VoiceTone pedals as you’d expect from high-end recording equipment. Check out the technical specs for more information. Will I get more feedback with VoiceTone? Audio feedback is caused by a combination of level, direction, and distance of the microphone to a speaker. The chance of feedback will be similar for you with VoiceTone as it was before. A benefit for anyone who has been plagued by feedback problems is you now control your level and your EQ. So if you hear feedback, you can adjust your own level to compensate. Can VoiceTone pedals use batteries? No, and you’ll appreciate why: guitar pedals often use standard 9V batteries, but to get high-end microphone preamp quality, non-standard and expensive rechargeable batteries would need to be used. This would significantly affect VoiceTone’s price, which we believe most singers wouldn’t appreciate.		Questions about Create How can I change patches during performance? VoiceTone Create contains 99 patches that you can tweak and save. During a gig you might want to change patches during a song, or between songs. Using the Left Footswitch you have access to 5 Performances, each with a Part A and B. This means you have footswitch access to 10 effects sounds while you sing. What effects are available? The effect chain in Correct is µMod, delay, reverb and transducer. The transducer effect can be placed in various points in the effect chain. All the effects can be used simultaneously. Additionally, all the effects are not watered-down versions of what professional studios use. In fact, they are the same as what professional studios use. What is the µMod effect? µ Mod is short for micro-modulation ("µ" is the scientific symbol for micro). The µMod effect is capable of creating many different sounds that range from subtle and unobtrusive to creatively destructive. There are several different effects sounds that are created using µMod including: micropitch, detune, thicken, chorus, flanger, and pitch feedback FX. What is Transducer? The transducer effect helps create many of the telephone and megaphone effects in popular music, as well as replicating the vintage audio quality of older audio effects and recordings. Within transducer there is a configurable distortion block with internal filtering and curves, as well as a bandwidth block, which emulates the frequency response of various audio devices like phones and radios. Does Create have harmony? VoiceTone Create contains the most common effects producers use on vocals. It does not contain a vocal harmony effect. These controls are customized to the effect patch’s particular sound. You can save these settings in a performance. Are the effects mono or stereo? Both. The default configuration for outputs on Create is mono but Stereo mode can be enabled by pressing and holding Performance Buttons 1 & 5.
